We utilize a whole community approach and work through a community library and empowerment center. The community library serves as a one stop point through which children, youth, women and community members access services in education, skills development and health.
Our Coordination Office is located along Kisaasi-Kyanja Road, behind the Village-Shopping Mall, Kawempe Division, Kampala District and the Field Office in Ibanda Parish, Nyarushanje Subcounty, Rukungiri District.

Of the people we work with
PELI-U was founded by Mugabirwe Olivia then a secondary school teacher at Namilyango College, Dr. Kibuuka Peregrine a Headteacher and Juliet Atwebembeire a teacher at Namilyango College in 2003.
It started as a school exchange program between two (2) urban schools and one (1) rural school. Under this exchange program the students of Namilyango College (Mukono District), St. Peter’s Nsambya Secondary School (Kampala District) and St. Peter’s Secondary School Nyarushanje (Rukungiri District) used Alpha smart keyboards and computers to exchange HIV/AIDS information.
The purpose behind the exchange program was to provide an opportunity for students to get a forum to discuss HIV/AIDS related challenges at the time, brainstorm on their role in the prevention and mitigation of HIV/AIDS and provide an opportunity to openly talk about HIV/AIDS. As a result of the experience attained, PELI-U was transformed into an NGO in 200
